Is there a medium sized sack? I'm probably going to do a lot of trials.

[ Straight fries, curly fries, skin off, on, work out the proper amount of salt in seasoning. She wants to get them just right. ]

As for how to curl them, that took me a minute to figure out. There are special instruments you can use back home to cut the potatoes that way from the beginning. I had to improvise here.

[ Is she saying she has legit invented a device to cut potatoes into curly fries to make this man happy? She is. ]

Like those, yes, but a little bit different. I'll have to show you sometime.

[ Proud of her little invention? A bit, yes, and she's very grateful to receive that sack, accepting it properly with both hands and an appreciative bow. ]

Thank you, Konoha-san. I really do appreciate it.

[ And she'll definitely make good use of them. Lewin likes simple, but even simple can have a grade and she's going to aim for the sort of simple perfection that inspires happiness because... well, she likes making him happy. Her smile tugs wide. ]

How should I...?

[ Pay her. There's an app or something, right? ]

[ She has cleverly done something where it concerns Setsura because her expression is one of clear surprise and oddly bird-like in tilt as though she has, in fact, just been caught offguard somehow just now. She holds that expression for a solid moment, blinking. ]

Konoha-san, I can't accept this.

[ Not for free. Definitely not for free, she can't. She's... really bad at accepting gifts even after seven decades and if it's free, that means she's opened up to debt and she's allergic to debt?? ]

The price you quoted me is already generous. At least let me pay that.

[ Setsura thinks she understands where Konoha is coming from, but it's still a difficult thing. She regards her quietly for a moment. ]

Is this an amendment, then? You realize I didn't satisfy the original terms of our agreement.

[ And admitting that more than stings. There's no backlash, nothing branding her flesh with lasting effect. There wasn't at the time of that failing because they hadn't formally drawn a proper contract in any capacity, but she feels the weight of it even now. She finds Gonta, then Konoha reciprocates with Chroma or a meal -- a "donation," she'd said. It had been simple, informal compared to the contracts she usually deals in as a Hand, but then, she hadn't been working in any taxable capacity, not as a Hand in any official capacity. Konoha owes her nothing, not even the tiniest shred of kindness, and she had had her reasons. She always does. ]

As you said, it was my choice.

[ She listens quietly, considering Konoha's words. She remembers very well what it took to restore those stolen from the material plane. Moonlacing, of course, because everything, everything in this realm comes back to Chroma. She doesn't believe that last line of Konoha's, but that this is an amendment is... something she can accept, she thinks. ]

In that case, [ and she pauses and reaches to accept the potatoes from the much taller woman with both hands ] I'll gladly accept these amended terms and these potatoes.

When you put it like that, how can I refuse?

[ She offers an easy shrug with that, potatoes held in hand, and the smile that accompanies the motion is honest. That Konoha should be so earnest is... well, it's a little on the refreshing side of things as much as that sort of person historically tends to see her worry a bit, but this is fine, she thinks. ]

A friend that will charge me for potatoes next time.

[ She nods firmly, then. They're agreed. ]
