gift - backdated to jan 1st

[ a note is written in calligraphy, both in the original Mandarin characters and then in an approximate translation to the native language. ]

To a good year, lived in good health, met with good fortune;
Growing in wealth, bountiful happiness, and good luck.

All the best to you and Gonta with this new beginning. Double happiness to your household! This one thanks you for your great kindness in the gift you bestowed upon him over this season of festivals and cheer.

Shen Qingqiu

[ the gift it's attached to is as follows: a nice tea set decorated in a more Japanese style with cranes and plum blossoms in the design, accompanied by a small variety of loose-leaf teas. there's also a set of working kimono for both konoha and gonta from the caihong district, and a dressy yukata for konoha, for the summer months and any festivals that may be upcoming. ]
